MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ – An elderly driver drove his vehicle on top of another car after accidentally shifting into reverse in Edison on Monday morning.
According to NJ.com, the 84-year-old had parked his Toyota at John F. Kennedy Medical Center. When he prepared to leave his parking spot, his shifted into reverse, jumping the curb and backing on top off the Acura behind his Toyota at about 10:45 a.m.
The Acura was unoccupied, and the Toyota driver escaped without injuries.
A crane was used to remove the Toyota, an operation that took about an hour and a half. The Acura was heavily damaged.
