EDISON, NJ – The victim that was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train in Edison on Tuesday morning has been identified by police.
According to Daily Voice, the victim was a 37-year-old local resident. The man, Praveen Desini, was struck near the Edison station at about 7:20 a.m.
The train was on the Northeast Corridor line bound for Manhattan. The victim was on his way to the train station to commute to his job in New York City.
There were about 100 people aboard the train when the accident happened. No of them were injured.
NJ Transit police are conducting the investigation.
