PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ – A drunk driver, who led a high-speed pursuit on Route 208, crashed his pickup in Franklin Lakes late on Wednesday night.
According to Daily Voice, an officer was northbound in his marked car on Route 208 in Fair Lawn when the incident began shortly before midnight. 39-year-old Sean Fachner sped up behind the officer, who moved over to avoid a crash with the Chevrolet Silverado.
Fachner continued to drive erratically, speeding up to 100 mph at some points, through Hawthorne and into Franklin Lakes.
The suspect crashed on the ramp to Interstate 287.
He was taken for treatment at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center and charged DWI and eluding, among other charges.
