UNION COUNTY, NJ – A large dump truck crashed into the building of a Nissan dealership along Route 22 causing a fuel spill in Hillside on Monday afternoon.
According to RLS Media, the truck crashed into the building in the 50 block of Route 22 at about 4 p.m.
When authorities arrived, they evacuated the building and then shut off the utilities. The driver and everyone inside and around the building escaped injury.
A hazmat team responded to a fuel spill of about 40 gallons.
An investigation into the cause is ongoing.
