GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ – A man from Texas is in critical condition after a hit-and-run accident in South Jersey on Saturday night, according to NJ.com.
A Delaware man was driving while drunk when he struck the 67-year-old man near in the 400 block of Delsea Drive in Franklin County. It took place at about 10:30 p.m.
The victim was found lying in the roadway. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden and remained in the critical condition on Sunday morning.
The drunk driver was seen driving north after the accident. Police soon responded to a crash scene where the same drive had struck a tree. The 47-year-old man was arrested on charges of assault by auto and drunk driving.
