FRANKLIN TWP, NJ – A DUI driver was injured in a head-on collision with a dump truck on Thursday, according to local media reports.
The incident happened on Kingston Rocky Hill Road, shortly after noon on April 29, when a northbound Hyundai drifted into the oncoming lanes and collided with a southbound dump truck.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene to find the Hyundai’s driver trapped within the wreckage and unresponsive. They extricated him from the vehicle and rushed him to an area trauma center with unspecified injuries. He has been identified as Sean Dekis, a 32-year-old resident of Trenton.
Investigators believe that Dekis had been intoxicated at the time of the collision.
We do not know whether the truck’s driver was injured at this time.
