SOMERSET, NJ – According to NJ.com, an intoxicated man struck and killed an Arizona woman out for a run in Raritan Borough on Friday afternoon.
A 56-year-old man struck the woman with his pickup truck near the intersection of Old York Road and Woodmere Street at about 3:30 p.m. The woman, 60-year-old Celeste Andersen, was waiting to cross Old York Road at a crosswalk. A vehicle in either direction stopped and allow her to cross, but the pickup truck driven by Kevin D. Betyeman struck her when she was almost across.
She was transported to a local hospital and there pronounced dead.
