HACKETTSTOWN, NJ – A drunk driver from Allamuchy Township was arrested after fleeing an accident scene in Hackettstown on Wednesday.
According to a local news report, Jeffery Fuchs, 57, fled east from the scene of an accident on Route 57 near Newburgh Road in Mansfield Township. Hackettstown police officers spotted the damaged vehicle at the River Star Diner.
When officers approached the car, they found an open container of vodka.
Fuchs has been charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of an open container, and reckless driving.
