Driver of pickup truck seriously injured in NJ collision

ALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ – The driver of a pickup truck was seriously injured in a collision with a car in southern New Jersey Tuesday morning, NJ.com reports.

The 39-year-old man from Bridgeton, driving a Ford F250, collided with a Nissan Sentra just before 7 a.m.  The accident happened at the intersection of Moores Lane and Cohansey Friesburg Road in Alloway Township, Salem County, according to New Jersey State Police.

The driver was thrown from the pickup truck.  Police say he suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, and was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

A passenger in the truck and the Nissan driver sustained non-life threatening injuries.  An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
