ELMWOOD PARK, NJ- According to Daily Voice, a driver was critically injured in Elmwood Park after rear-ending a tractor trailer and rolling on Route 80 on Tuesday evening.
At approximately 5:00pm, the driver was heading westbound near Exit 61 when he crashed his Volkswagen Jetta into the back of a tractor trailer, causing his vehicle to roll across the highway. Officials arrived at the scene shortly after and found him to be bleeding heavily and struggling to breathe. He was taken to St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
All lanes by the wreck were closed for three hours after the accident.
This accident is currently under investigation and being looked at by the New Jersey State Police Fatal Accident Team. We will be monitoring for updates.
