BERGEN CO., NJ – A driver was injured yesterday when his car was struck by a tire that had detached from another vehicle, NJ.com reports.
The incident happened near milepost 58 of I-287 in Bergen County at about 8 a.m. on May 6. The tire detached from an unknown northbound vehicle, crossed into the southbound lanes, and hit a Ford Fusion.
The Fusion’s driver was seriously injured. No additional information is available at this time.
