Driver hurt as pickup truck slams into Livingston building

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — One person was hospitalized Wednesday after a pickup truck crashed into the Investors Bank building in southeast Livingston, according to local media.

Firefighters and first responders were called to the scene at 24 East Northfield Avenue.

The circumstances behind the accident were not immediately clear, but fire crews arrived to find a black pickup truck driven into the building’s brick facade.

Medics transported the driver to Morristown Memorial Hospital. No information on the patient’s condition has been disclosed, but they are expected to make a recovery.

No other injuries were reported in the event, but both the building and the vehicle appeared to have sustained significant damage.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
