CLIFTON, NJ – A driver was taken to the hospital following a multi-vehicle chain-reaction crash on the Garden State Parkway early this morning, according to the Daily Voice.
The crash happened in Clifton, near Exit 153B, at about 4:50 a.m., when five cars collided. Authorities believe that a possibly stolen Cadillac Escalade may have been responsible for the crash.
The driver of a Nissan Sentra, a 27-year-old man, was extricated from his vehicle after it crashed and overturned. He was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center with undisclosed injuries.
There was no immediate word on any further injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
