Driver dies after SUV slams into tree off NJ-27 in Princeton

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — An 86-year-old Kendall Park man has died following a single-vehicle accident last Tuesday afternoon on Route 27 in Princeton, according to Daily Voice.

The fatal crash happened on the eastbound highway (Princeton-Kingston Road) at Riverside Drive on November 8, shortly after 1:50 p.m.

An early investigation by Princeton Police indicates the man was driving a 2019 Hyundai Kona eastbound, when, for reasons still unknown, he veered to the right. The move caused the SUV to collide with a tree at the corner of the intersection.

First responders rushed the victim to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Authorities confirmed the patient died from his injuries on Sunday, November 13.

No further information has been disclosed.
