MAYWOOD, NJ – The teen driver responsible for a June 28 accident that sent three people and himself to the hospital was charged yesterday with assault by auto and DWI, the Daily Voice reports.
According to authorities, 18-year-old David Fraile crashed his Honda Civic head-on into a Jeep Cherokee while making a left turn onto East Spring Valley Avenue from Conklin Avenue. The collision occurred at approximately 1:10 a.m. Sunday morning.
Multiple ambulances were called to the scene. Fraile and the Jeep’s three occupants—a 32-year-old woman, a 27-year-old man, and a 55-year-old man—were all taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police charged Fraile with assault by auto, DWI, and underage drinking.
