BEDMINSTER, NJ – A driver has been charged with DWI and driving without a license following a deadly crash in Bedminster last Friday evening.
According to Nj.com, 66-year-old George L. Rodriguez was northbound in his SUV when he crossed into oncoming traffic on Routes 202 and 206. He got on the wrong side of the concrete center divider and struck a vehicle head-on near River Road at about 6:45 p.m.
The 65-year-old driver of the other vehicle was transported form the scene to a area hospital where he died. He was identified as Michael C. Sivulich.
Rodriguez was treated for injuries at a local hospital. He is facing several charges and summonses including DWI, death by auto, reckless driving, and causing death while driving with unlicensed.
The accident remains under investigation.
