BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – A driver was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident that left a woman seriously injured last week in Palisades Park.
According to Daily Voice, the woman was struck near the Chase Bank on Bergen Boulevard at about 1:30 p.m. last Thursday. The driver left the scene and the woman was found on the side of the road with severe injuries.
The 53-year-old was taken to a local hospital. She remains in critical condition almost a week after the accident.
The driver, 57-year-old Nicholas Sodano, was arrested Monday after witnesses gave a description of the car and license plate number to investigators. He is being held in a Bergen County jail.
