HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – A cyclist was riding along an intersection when he was struck by a garbage truck on Thursday afternoon, sources report.
Police say the accident occurred at the intersection of South Olden Ave and Arena Drive just before 4:30 p.m.
The cyclist, who has not been identified, suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital.
Medical personnel began treating a severe leg injury.
The truck driver remained at the scene, according to police.
