Crash with utility pole injuries one in Harrison Township

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ – One person is in critical condition after a single-vehicle crash with a utility pole in Harrison Township on Friday night.

According to Nj.com, a vehicle drove off Woodland Avenue near the intersection with Valley Lane at about 8 p.m., crashing with a utility pole.

The impact of the accident snapped the pole into multiple pieces while the car went flying and overturned.

The driver, a 53-year-old man from Swedesboro, was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken by helicopter to a Camden hospital where he is in critical condition but stable.

Police are still investigating the crash.
