GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – A man was killed when the van he was driving crashed on the Atlantic City Expressway Wednesday night, NJ.com reported.
New Jersey State Police said 43-year-old James Richardson was driving through Gloucester Township in Camden County when his van veered off the road, slammed into some trees, overturned and caught fire.
Richardson, of Easton, Pennsylvania, was trapped inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No one else was inside the van.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. The Atlantic City Expressway was closed for three hours as state troopers investigated the incident.
