Crash in Piscataway leaves woman dead, 2 children injured

PISCATAWAY, NJ — A crash on Interstate 287 in New Jersey early Thursday left a woman dead and two children hospitalized, according to abc7ny.com.

Authorities say the driver of a Toyota Rav 4 apparently lost control just south of Exit 7 on I-287 in Piscataway at about 3:35 a.m. The vehicle overturned and ended up in the woods.

The woman and two children were ejected from the vehicle, and were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. The woman was pronounced dead. The children were listed in stable condition.

The driver of the SUV sustained injuries that were described as non-life threatening.

An investigation is underway into the cause of the accident.
