CLIFTON, NJ – A small child was severely injured in a car accident on Route 3 Tuesday morning, according to Daily Voice. Several other people were also injured in the crash.
The collision was between a dump truck and at least three other vehicles, and happened near Broad Street at about 10:30 a.m. The child was in one of the vehicles involved, a sedan.
The 1-year-old was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center with a severe head injury. The 25-year-old driver of the sedan was hospitalized at the same facility.
The crash closed all travel lanes, and vehicles were only able to get around the scene on the left-hand shoulder.
Investigations are ongoing.
