VINELAND, NJ- A young child died and six others were injured when a car collided with an overturned minivan on State Route 55 on Wednesday night, according to NJ.com.
At approximately 11:25pm, a minivan with numerous passengers went off State Route 55 into the opposite direction of travel and flipped near mile marker 34.6. A vehicle driving the other direction then crashed into the overturned minivan. The 20-year-old driver of the other vehicle was taken to Cooper University Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
In the minivan, one boy, approximately 5 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. Five other individuals, including four other children and the 35-year-old driver of the minivan, were also transported to Cooper University Hospital with moderate injuries.
