HAZLET TOWNSHIP, NJ – Emergency crews were retrieving a car off the roadway at a crash scene on the Garden State Parkway in Hazlet Township on Monday morning.
According to 511 New Jersey, a vehicle was involved in a traffic collision and landed off the southbound Garden State Parkway local lanes near Exit 117 for NJ-36 at about 4:30 a.m.
The left shoulder was closed for more than two hours while emergency crews worked to retrieve the vehicle from where it had landed.
At this time, the cause of the crash and whether other vehicles were involved remains unclear. We will update this story should more information, including whether anyone was injured in the crash, is released.
