RAHWAY, NJ – A vehicle struck and downed a utility pole in an accident on US 1&9 in Rahway on Friday morning, according to 511 New Jersey.
The accident happened in the southbound direction of the highway near East Grand Avenue just before 6:45 a.m.
The right two lanes were closed while emergency crews worked at the scene. The closures continued into the afternoon while repairs were made to the utility pole.
At this time, there is no word on if any of the involved drivers suffered injuries in the crash.
