BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An NJ Transit commuter bus was involved in a crash Monday afternoon that caused a traffic light to collapse in Hackensack, according to Daily Voice.

The incident occurred near the intersection of South Summit Avenue and West Pleasantview Avenue, across from the 7-11 store, at about 2:00 p.m.

It was unclear what caused the collision or whether passengers were aboard the bus at the time, but no injuries were reported.

Photos taken at the scene show the pole ripped out from the ground and resting over the roof of the bus’s back end.

Drivers were advised to find alternate routes, as a section of the road was closed for crash clearance and repairs.

An investigation was in progress. No charges or citations have been reported as of this writing.
