PARAMUS, NJ – A suspect crashed a stolen vehicle that they were using as a getaway vehicle after burglarizing a house in Montvale early on Monday.
According to Daily Voice, the burglar had taken the car and crashed it after sticking a gun in the face of a Montvale homeowner. The suspect left the burglary scene in the homeowner’s Toyota Highlander then crashed it in a backyard near Exit 166 on the Garden State Parkway at about 2:30 a.m.
Several items stolen from the Montvale woman’s home were still in the vehicle but the suspect had fled.
The homeowner did not sustain any injuries.
