RED BANK, NJ – A boy died after he was struck by an NJ Transit train in the Red Bank area early this morning, according to information from NJ.com.

The accident happened near Bergen Place and Red Bank Station at around 1:30 a.m., when a juvenile boy was struck by a two-engine train that was pulling no passenger cars at the time.

The child was pronounced dead after the crash.

No crew were injured in the accident.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
