PATERSON, NJ – Authorities are investigating after a body was found by a New Jersey Transit train engineer near the tracks in Paterson on Tuesday night.
According to RLS Media, the New Jersey Transit Port Jarvis train #1125 was headed west out of Hoboken when its engineer spotted the body sometime after 6:53 p.m. The body was near the main line tracks between Getty Avenue and Main Street.
It is unknown at this time if the body is a pedestrian victim of a train accident. An investigation is ongoing to determine how the person died.
