JERSEY CITY, NJ – A bicyclist is in critical condition after he was struck by a driver who then fled the scene of the accident in Jersey City last night, according to the Hudson County View.
The crash happened near the intersection of Wade Street and Martin Luther King Drive at about 8 p.m. when the driver of a silver, older-model Infiniti M45 S made a left turn. The driver collided with the victim, who was operating a street-legal dirt bike, as he was traveling on MLK Drive.
The driver of the Infiniti then fled the scene without stopping to render aid to the victim.
The victim, a 26-year-old man, was taken to the hospital in Jersey City with severe, life-threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation at this time, and authorities are asking those with any information about the crash to come forward.
