MONTGOMERY, NJ – A bicyclist was hospitalized after an accident on Belle Mead Griggstown Road Sunday night, according to Patch.com.
The bicycle rider was hit by a Ford van at about 6:04 p.m., as she was riding eastbound across the Harlingen Road intersection.
The victim, identified as 43-year-old Kamala Gangavelli, sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and is receiving treatment at Robert Wood Johnson New Brunswick Hospital.
The driver, 63-year-old Alex Aliev, was not injured in the collision, but remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The investigation is ongoing.
