Bicyclist killed in crash in Atlantic County

ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ – According to The Daily Voice, a bicyclist was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Atlantic County on Wednesday.

Authorities say the crash took place around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and Loraine Avenue. A 15-year-old bicyclist was travelling east on Loraine Avenue when he was struck by a 69-year-old driver heading south on Franklin Boulevard.

The bicyclist sustained serious injuries in the impact and was airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he later died. The driver involved was uninjured.

Police continue to investigate this incident.
