EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – A bicyclist was killed Saturday night in East Rutherford after being hit by a vehicle, according to the Hackensack Daily Voice.
The accident happened at about 11:30 p.m. when Bogota man Tony Perez, 58, was riding in the eastbound middle lane of Route 3.
He was hit by a vehicle despite the driver attempting to swerve and avoid him, which resulted in a second vehicle rear-ending the first.
Perez died at the scene.
No charges have been filed as of yet.
An investigation into the collision continues at this time.
