BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – A bicyclist sustained serious injuries after being struck by a drunk driver in Ramsey last Thursday evening.
According to NJ.com, the accident happened Wyckoff Avenue and West Oak Street just after 6:15 p.m. last week. A 45-year-old woman was drinking and driving when she drove through a stop sign at struck the bicyclist.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and treated for serious injuries. They were in stable condition as of Friday.
An investigation led to the arrest of Lisa M. Wieger for assault by auto, failure to yield, driving an uninsured vehicle, and driving while intoxicated, among other offenses.
