JERSEY CITY, NJ – Authorities are looking for leads in finding the vehicle that struck a bicyclist earlier in the month in North Bergen.
According to a local news report, the accident on July 13 happened at about 5 p.m. on Boulevard East near River Drive North.
A 47-year-old female was riding her bike in James J. Braddock Park when a black car struck her.
A passenger exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot and the vehicle sped away while the woman was still lying in the street.
Authorities gave a description of the vehicle as a black 2-door Honda Civic made between the years 1996-2000. After the accident, the vehicle should have damage to the front passenger side and be missing the mirror on that side.
Anyone who has information is asked to pass it on to officials as they continue their investigation.
