CLARK, NJ – Local authorities have released pictures of a vehicle that killed a man in Clark earlier this week and are hoping to use them to identify a suspect.
According to Patch.com, the red or maroon pickup truck struck 82-year-old James Leinbach on Raritan Road and Clarkton Drive around 6 a.m. on Tuesday. The victim was a resident at an apartment complex nearby. He was a hit by a car that was eastbound on Raritan Road and traveling toward Central Avenue.
Leinbach died from the injuries sustained in the crash.
Police have released pictures of a pickup truck that is red or maroon and is a Chevrolet S-10 or a GMC Sonora from the years 1994-2004. They believe this is the vehicle that struck Leinbach and fled the scene. It should have sustained damage from the accident to the passenger front end, including the side mirror.
Anyone with information is asked to please pass what they know onto the police.
