CLIFFSIDE PARK, NJ – Local authorities were able to apprehend an ex-con who fled after crashing a stolen vehicle in Cliffside Park on Saturday night.
Daily Voice reported 54-year-old Lester Williams was driving a stolen 2015 Honda Accord under a suspended license when his speed on Anderson Avenue caught police attention late Saturday. He slowed down and made a left turn down Jersey Avenue. Then, he crashed into two parked vehicles and forced one of the cars into a third.
Williams was uninjured and tried to flee on foot through a residential yard but was quickly apprehended.
Added to his rap sheet, which already includes several burglaries, are charges and offenses of possession of drugs and paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, leaving a crash scene, resisting arrest, and receiving stolen property.
He is being held in a Bergen County Jail.
