ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ – A 66-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing an Atlantic City intersection on Wednesday afternoon.
Daily Voice reports that the woman was making her way across the intersection of Tennessee Avenue and Atlantic Avenue at about 4:10 p.m. when the accident happened. The victim was using the crosswalk on Atlantic Avenue when the light changed and she was hit by a westbound driver.
The victim was identified as Jill Collette. She was transported to a local hospital, where she died.
The driver, a 69-year-old woman from Brigantine, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
At this time, no charges have been file. The accident investigation is ongoing.
