LIVINGSTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – Delays on Interstate 280 in Livingston Township grew throughout the morning after a car accident on Friday.
According to the state incident tracker, the crash happened on westbound I-280 near Laurel Avenue at about 7:40 a.m.
All westbound lanes were closed and continued to be closed for more than two hours. Delays grew to be as long as 25 minutes as traffic attempted to navigate around the closure. Eventually, some of the lanes were reopened, but delays and closure of two lanes continued into the afternoon.
Details about the crash and the circumstances surrounding the accident have not yet become available. At this time, no injuries have been reported. We will update this story should more information become available.
