Accident causes delays in Rockaway Township

ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ – A car accident on Interstate 80 in Rockaway Township closed lanes and caused extensive delays on Thursday.

According to 511 New Jersey, the accident was in the westbound lanes near Exit 37 for Hibernia Avenue at about 11:10 a.m.

The accident blocked two lanes for about two hours, causing delays into the afternoon. Even after both lanes had reopened at about 1:15 p.m., drivers in the area were experiencing delays due to volume.

At this time, no injuries have been reported from the crash.
