EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ (ATLANTIC COUNTY) – An 85-year-old woman died Friday in a crash in Atlantic County, according to a report by BreakingAC.
The accident happened at 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Black Horse Pike and Tower Avenue. The victim, 85-year-old Mays Landing woman Lois Kerbel, made an improper turn. Her Toyota Camry was struck by 68-year-old James Ganly, of Aberdeen, Maryland, and Kerbel had to be extracted from the wreckage.
She was airlifted to the hospital, where she later was pronounced dead.
Authorities closed the Black Horse Pike for about three hours as they investigated the accident.
The incident remains under review at this time.
