SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ – A 74-year-old Hillsborough resident was found dead after an accident with a commercial lawnmower on Sunday afternoon.
According to local news, John Levinski was crushed when a commercial lawnmower fell on him in the 400 block of Township Line Road at about 5 p.m. A Kubota tractor was at the other end of a cable connected to the mower and hoisting the small machine into the air. Levinski was killed when the cable broke and the mower fell.
Neighbors alerted the authorities to the accident. When they arrived, they pronounced Levinski’s death at the scene. It was ruled an accident.
Further investigation is ongoing.
