CLIFTON, NJ – A 67-year-old man was injured after being struck by an allegedly reckless driver in Clifton last night, according to the Daily Voice.
The crash occurred near Route 46 and Conklin Avenue at about 8:30 p.m., when a 22-year-old man from Iselin reportedly collided with a pedestrian, a resident of Sayreville, who was crossing the street.
The driver then went onto the sidewalk and crashed into a fire hydrant.
The 67-year-old victim was taken to the hospital in Paterson with undisclosed injuries.
The driver was not reported as injured.
He was cited for reckless driving as a result of the accident, which remains under investigation.
