OCEAN COUNTY, NJ – A 59-year-old man lost his life in a motorcycle versus car accident in Brick on Monday afternoon, according to Daily Voice.
The Point Pleasant man was riding southbound on his 2003 Bourget custom bike on Burnt Tavern Road when a 2013 Hyundai Elantra turned in front of him from Spiral Drive at about 2:25 p.m. The victim, identified as Christos Michael, struck the car and was thrown from his motorcycle.
Michael sustained injuries to his lower body and severe internal injuries. He died at the scene.
The Hyundai’s driver, a 59-year-old Brick resident, complained of pain after the accident.
An investigation is ongoing. At this time, the Hyundai’s driver has not been ticketed.
