BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – A 58-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a Fort Lee intersection on Tuesday evening, according to Daily Voice.
The accident happened at the corner of Linwood Avenue and Fletcher Avenue at about 5 p.m. The man stepped into the street outside of the crosswalk and against the “don’t walk” signal. He was struck by a 2000 Ford Windstar and sent flying into a utility pole.
The driver, a 65-year-old Palisades Park man, stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The victim was responsive as the medics loaded him into the ambulance before transporting him to a local hospital.
An investigation is ongoing.
