According to an Ocean County news report, the Tuckerton resident was riding his 2004 Suzuki when he struck a curb on the ramp from Route 9 to Route 72 in the evening on Saturday.
A retired military medic who was passing by stopped and assisted the rider, who had been ejected, until firefighters and ambulance. They transported the victim to a New Brunswick hospital.
The rider was not wearing an approved helmet when the crash happened. A witness also reported that the rider had been speeding.
