According to NJ.com, James McCafferty was southbound on I-295 when the box truck he was driving crashed near at about 2 p.m. which a Ford Transit Van. The truck went off the freeway and hit a tree.
McCafferty died at the scene.
The van’s driver, a 51-year-old man from Baltimore, escaped that accident with injury.
The crash happened during the snow on Friday afternoon. However, an investigation is ongoing to determine whether foul weather was a factor in the crash.
