HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ – A 46-year-old female pedestrian was killed by a passing vehicle while crossing Route 31 in Hampton on Friday evening.
According to NJ.com, the woman, identified as Tara Temby, was walking across the southbound lanes near milepost 38. A vehicle struck the pedestrian at about 7:30 p.m., closing down at least one lane for hours.
Temby died at the scene.
At this time, no charges are pending.
