PARAMUS, NJ – Four people were injured after a vehicle collided with an Amazon truck on Route 17 early this morning, according to the Daily Voice.
The accident happened near the Suburban Diner, located at 172 N. Route 17 in Paramus, at about 1:30 a.m.
An Amazon truck was parked near the diner, when a driver crashed into the truck, causing the vehicle to become pinned beneath the tractor-trailer.
The driver and front-seat passenger were trapped within the wreckage for a time. They sustained life-threatening and severe injuries in the crash.
As of this morning, the driver was in critical condition, while the passenger was in critical, but stable condition.
Two people in the rear of the vehicle sustained minor wounds in the accident.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
