4 hurt in pair of crashes on NJTP near Bordentown Township

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Four people were seriously hurt Thursday in two separate rollover crashes on the New Jersey Turnpike near northeast Bordentown Township, reports Daily Voice.

Fire crews from Robbinsville and Bordentown Township first responded to a crash at 9:20 a.m. involving an overturned truck at milepost 59.2, south of Exit 7A.

Officials said one person from that wreck suffered a major head injury. The patient was transported in an advanced life support ambulance to Trenton’s Capital Health Regional Medical Center.

At about 3:10 p.m. that afternoon, the Robbinsville Fire Department responded to a vehicle that had rolled on the southbound outer lanes at milepost 61.4.

Three people from that accident were also rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in life support ambulances.

At this time, no details regarding the conditions of the victims have been released.
